Dr. Ganbolor is a specialist in Infectious Diseases with a focus on viral hepatitis Delta. She received her PhD from Taipei Medical University, Taiwan and currently serves as Secretary Genaral of Mongolian Society of Hepatology.

Professor Dahgwahdorj is one of Mongolias leading scientists, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of viral hepatitis. He earned his Medical Degree (1975) and PhD (1986) from the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS). With a career spanning over 50 years, he served as Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases at MNUMS from 1995 to 2011. He has authored numerous textbooks on infectious disease prevention and treatment and has published extensively in international journals.

The Treasurer has been elected by the Assembly of the Mongolian Society of Hepatology as a non-voting member of the Governing Board for a second five-year term.

All members of the Governing Board share collective responsibility for the financial oversight, transparency, and sustainability of the Society.

Dr. Davaadorj received his MD from MNUMS (1992) and his PhD from the Medical University of Lodz, Poland (2004). He served as the Vice-Director of Clinical Affairs at MNUMS and the Lead Hepatologist for the Ministry of Health. He is currently   serving as a Professor MNUMS  and the Consultant Hepatologist at Songdo Hospital. His clinical interests include chronic viral hepatitis, liver cirrhosis management, liver transplantation, and early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Davaadorj Duger

Prof. Zulkhuu is a Past President of the Mongolian Society of Hepatology and a Professor of Medicine at MNUMS. He completed his hepatology specialty training at Berlin-Buch Hospital, Germany. His research primarily focuses on the epidemiology and pathophysiology of Hepatitis D (HDV) and other common infectious diseases in Mongolia. He has authored or co-authored 8 books and over 30 peer-reviewed research articles.

Zulkhuu Genden
MD, PhD

Dr. Bolormaa is an Associate Professor at the Gastroenterology Center of the First Central Hospital of Mongolia and a key member of the Liver Transplantation Team. She earned her medical degree from the State Medical University of Irkutsk, Russia. Currently, she serves as the Head of the Mongolian MASLD Society and a Board Member of the Mongolian Gastroenterology Association. Her clinical expertise encompasses viral hepatitis, Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), and the management of decompensated cirrhosis complications (such as HRS, SBP, and ACLF). As a specialized transplant hepatologist, she manages the complex evaluation and long-term monitoring of transplant patients, including ABO-incompatible cases. She has published over 40 research articles and serves on the coordination committee for the National Hepatitis Prevention, Control, and Elimination Program.

Dr. Sarantuya Tserenchimed is a Senior Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Intermed Hospital in Ulaanbaatar. She holds an MD and a PhD in medical sciences, specialising in gastrointestinal pathologies, viral hepatitis, and the early detection of gastric cancer. Dr. Sarantuya is an active researcher with strong international collaborations, particularly with Oita University (Japan), focusing on the epidemiology of H. pylori and liver diseases. She has played a pivotal role in national multi-center studies regarding cancer screening in Mongolia and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles aimed at improving clinical outcomes for digestive health in the country.

Sarantuya Tserenchimed

Dr. Naranjargal Dashdorj earned her MD from Peking University and completed her residency at Peking University Third Hospital. A UNESCO-LOREAL Fellow, she obtained her PhD from the University of Nottingham (UK). Dr. Dashdorj has served as Principal Investigator (PI) on numerous clinical trials and epidemiological studies regarding liver disease in Mongolia. Most notably, she was the principal architect of the blueprint for Mongolia’s National Hepatitis Prevention, Control, and Elimination Program. She contributes to global health policy as a member of guideline committees for the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO). Additionally, she co-authored Mongolias national clinical guidelines for the management of Hepatitis B, C, and Delta.
